FUSO Trucks Southern Africa hands over 73 trucks to Liquor Runners

  • Liquor Runners is one of the leading beverage logistics service providers in South Africa
  • Nic Koupis, Liquor Runners director: “We have received unparalleled backup from the entire FUSO team, right from head office to the John Williams Motors dealership.”

BLOEMFONTEIN The fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry is one of the most dynamic segments, and it demands that role players be agile and constantly ready to adapt. Liquor Runners have been at the forefront of the beverage logistic industry since its inception in 2002, and FUSO Trucks Southern Africa is ensuring they remain in the lead.

“There are many other original equipment manufacturers that we could have decided to partner with, but we purposefully chose FUSO Trucks because they epitomise high standards of quality and the best value for money possible,” said Nic Koupis, Liquor Runners director, upon purchasing 73 FUSO trucks, ranging from the Canter FE7-136-TD FC to the FM16-270 FC and the FN25-270 FC.

“As any truck operator will attest, you can have the world’s best vehicle, but this means nothing if you do not have a relationship that guarantees support from the manufacturer. We have received unparalleled backup from the entire FUSO team, right from head office to the John Williams Motors dealership,” adds Koupis.

Liquor Runners provide logistical solutions to market-leading companies in the liquor industry such as KWV and Heineken, and their services include 11 warehouses and a national footprint with more than 5 000 customer and distribution points.

“As FUSO Trucks Southern Africa, we are proud to hand over these 73 units to Liquor Runners as this momentous occasion shows that FUSO trucks not only impress our customers with their economy, affordability and low total cost of ownership; they also are trusted to represent some of South Africa’s most sought-after brands,” said Ziyad Gaba, head of FUSO Trucks Southern Africa.

In the FMCG industry, it is absolutely critical for Liquor Runners to be able to respond to their clients’ needs as they change, and the choice of vehicle can either hinder or enhance this ability. The FUSO trucks the company operate ensure that they are able to meet their objective of providing reliable and quality solutions to ensure their clients’ businesses remain competitive.
